.........Christmas time in New York City

We just love heading off to the big city of New York. The boys save their money, ready to spend it at the world’s largest Toy’s R Us store. On this trip we had on our list to see;

-Statue of Liberty, -Ground Zero, -China Town, -Rockefeller Tree, and whatever else we could squeeze in.

We started the day off with a trip to Battery Park. We road the Staten Island Fairy to get a closer look at Lady Liberty. We did not get to go to Ellis Island, due to it being the holidays and people were everywhere, but we will be going back to do this. From here we walked to see Ground Zero, where there was lots of work going on. They are currently turning the site into a park memorial.

By this time it was lunch and our favorite thing to eat while in New York is New York Pizza. So we stopped for a slice. It was soooooo good, and one slice fills the boys up. We had to skip China town on this trip. The day was getting late and the boys wanted to stop by the M & M store. While at the M & M store we spent $30 on 2 bags of the wonderful candy. It was our snack on the way home that evening. And the two bags did last us quite a while.

We also went by to see the big tall-lighted tree at the Rockefeller center. It is an awesome site to see. We also went into the NBC studio while there. To finish the day off we road the New York Subway back to our parked car.

Great day at a great time of the year. There is just nothing like going into the city with the buzz of Christmas.
