Waterfalls on day 4. Here we took a hike to the top of the water fall.
Going over the edge.
Long fall down.
BEAR SITINGS!!!! We were able to see 3 different bear
sitings. Wherever there was a bear the traffic was
sure to be backed up. It was a really cool experience to
see a bear in it's natural habitat doing what bears do.
One day we were able see a mother bear with her 2 young
cubs. It was really cool. Could not get great pictures though due
to it being in the woods.
This is a picture of the act that the 42 Congress signed into law.
It is dated the fourth day of December 1871.
It states, ,,"to set apart a certain tract of land near the head waters of Yellowstone River as a public park."
Yellowstone was the first National Park set aside as a National park by congress.
There are more than 2 million acres in Yellowstone National Park.
These are pictures of Mammoth Springs. It is truly breath taking.
Wildlife out in the field.
Buffalo crossing. The boys found this to be hilarious!
Sunset at the end of day 4.
