While here in Colorado we are on a journey to see this part of the USA. To start with we were invited to venture off to see Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming, by our friends, the Corliss'. This is our trip. I took about 2,000 pictures, YES I said 2,000. Of course I can not post all of them, so I am posting my faves from each day. So this is day one. I will try to put captions under to explain them, but sometimes a picture is worth a 1,000 words and does not need my caption. The Lord has made beautiful landscapes for our enjoyment, and we surely enjoyed marvelling at what He made in Yellowstone National park. Everything was amazing to see, from the wildlife to the landscape. I hope you enjoy the pictures, but trust me the pictures do not do it justice. If you ever have the opportunity to see if first hand, it is well worth the trip.

Wyoming landscape.
We made it !! Our temp through the week was around 60 degrees
with temps going down at night to the 40's. Brrrr cold for a
summer vacation, but we planned ahead and brought
winter clothes.
Yellowstone has several campgrounds. We tent camped
at Grant Village. Nice campground but the first that
I ever had to pay to shower. $2.00 for a 6 min. shower.
Campfire !! Nice and warm.
The kids were on a mission to make sure we stayed warm
and was in charge of firewood. They each worked together
to find a huge log that they drug out of the forest. We
all hacked on this log to make fire logs.
Here we visited the Hot springs and mud pots at Yellowstone.
Water was crystal clear........
...........BUUUUUT hot!!
Hot springs and Yellowstone Lake.
Bryson with a hot spring. It was told that back in the old days, fishermen would catch a fish from the lake and then toss the fish, hook, line and sinker into the boiling water to cook it.
Yellowstone animals at the hotsprings.
The boys with their friends, Trent, Heston, Kristen,Caleb and Bryson
Bison !! We say these things everywhere in Yellowstone. We even almost hit one with our car one day.
The boys with a Yellowstone Park Ranger. Each of the kids worked on becoming a junior park ranger.
Sunset on Yellowstone lake at the end of day one.
Great day !! Can't wait to show you what we saw on day two!
