Old Faithful and Geysers, Day 2

One of the most famous geysers at Yellowstone, Old Faithful.

Old Faithful has a web cam.  We were able to call our family and have them
log onto the site to watch Old Faithful erupt while we watched in person.
I love technology !  Our family back in GA was able to see us wave at them,
right before we witnessed together the geysers release of water and steam.

Our friends the Corliss family.
Gina, Flash, Kristen and Caleb

Cute little creature, see him sitting on the log.  The boys so wanted to
catch these small animals, but as junior rangers they had to pledge not to disturb
the wildlife.   YES, thank you Rangers!

Smaller geysers at Old Faithful site.

Back at camp.  Dutch oven cooking. YUM, YUM!
To keep the boys thinking and creating I challenged them to make a bow and arrow
and see who's could go the farthest.  They spent about an hour figuring out
how to make a bow that would shoot an arrow that we purchased at the
gift shop.  Each of their bows were pretty awesome and shot great,
but in the end Trent's went the farthest.
Way to go Trent !!
Johnny and Flash in a contest to see who's knife could open a can of green beans first.
Flash has a knife that is a small tool kit.  It contains it all !! Johnny has a small military P-51 can opener.
In the end, Johnny's P-51 went much faster and his can was opened first.  But a side note here, when we tried to get into the Library of Congress in Washington DC that P-51 held us up at a security check.
