Good bye Denver.

Well our time here in Denver is finished.  We started off not being too impressed with this city but grew to enjoy all it had to offer.  We really liked how close to all the local museums we were, especially on free days.  We were only like 2 to 3 miles from all these cool spots.  We also liked Denver's location to the surrounding tourist spots.  We were able to take weekend trips to places like Mount Rushmore, Devils tower, Cheyenne and many more.  We loved being able to wake up in the mornings to snow capped mountains, but it still being on the warmer side in the city.  We drove up to the mountains a couple of times to play in it's snow.  Snow was always about an hours drive away.  Oh and we can't forget our trip to Yellowstone.  Denver is the best place to be; to be able to make a Yellowstone trip.
Denver has some really nice Recreational Parks.  Bryson enjoyed playing soccer at the Eisenhower Park.  Heston loved playing flag football while we were here in Denver.
We met some really nice people here in Denver and added to our traveling friend collection.

We had some really cool spots that we loved.  If you are ever in the area you should check some of them out.

-Favorite place to eat---- Casa Bonita (This is a must see not because the food is good but because it's just cool.  It's kinda like Chuck e Cheese on steroids)

- Favorite place to get books --  The Book Shelf, off of Colorado Boulevard.  This book store would buy our old books and give us a credit toward new ones.  The boys loved getting new books to read. Trent bought and read the Artemus Foul collection.  Heston got the Magic Tree House books and just about read the whole series.  And Bryson started reading Cam Jansen books.

-Favorite park---Infinity Park was just a hop, skip and jump from our apartments.  The boys loved the fake grass that covered the field.  We never had to worry about stepping in dog poo.

-Favorite bakery --- The Big Fat Cupcake store, oh my... nothing compares to these cupcakes.  They just melt in your mouth.  They were so good!!

-Favorite things about Denver--- Loved the Aspen Trees!! Hammonds candy store was a really neat place to visit.

-Favorite day trips ---Colorado Springs, to visit Focus on the Family and Garden of the Gods.  We also enjoyed our drive up to LoveLand.

-Free Days in Denver--- The zoo, art museum, science museum, and childrens' museums all have free days.  Check out the websites for a list of free days.

We have enjoyed our time here in Denver, but the cold weather is getting quite chili, time to move on to warm sunny beaches.  Our next stop is Marina del Rey which is in West LA.  We are all very excited!
