Well the snow clouds have opened and fallen upon us. We received snow on Friday, 6 inches of snow. Then on Tuesday night we got a couple more inches. The roads were clear, on Wednesday, so we took off down town to take in a few more sites. The National Mall was just beautiful, with all the white snow everywhere. We took a minute to let the boys make a Snow-President. They did a great job. The snow-president was just too cute.
After we played on the Mall we went to visit the National Law Enforcement Memorial.
Our last stop of the day was the National Archives building. This building houses some important documents like our Constitution, Bill of Rights and Declaration of Independence. It also houses other documents like Patents. If you need to find a document about family history, you would find it here also. The boys have learned a lot about the Declaration of Independence while here in DC. So they were very excited to see the actual document. The National Archives is a must stop if you are in the DC area.
Ps. Did I mention that we just did miss the President today. As we walked out of a building today we noticed the police had roads blocked off in all directions, as we continued to walk down the street we passed by a nice lady that told us we just missed the President. He had just passed by, oh well! Ya'll know me and pictues, that would have been a cool pic to have taken! Two more weeks here in DC, maybe next time.
