We are a crazy Family!!! Love it !!!! We were flipping through the channels the other day and came across the show “Man vs. Food”. We stopped to watch it because the host, Adam was in Washington DC. We were hoping he would enlighten us on some cool restaurant. Guess what??? He did !!! He showed a restaurant over in Annapolis MD that serves a 6 pound milk shake and a 1 ½ pound sandwich. He called it The Colossal Challenge. He was able to eat both in an one hour time frame.
So we took on his challenge!! We headed over to Annapolis, which for the ones of you who do not know, is the capital city of Maryland. Annapolis is a very cute little town right on the Chesapeake Bay. The city has lots of old colonial type houses. During our American wars Annapolis is one city that was not hit by enemies. Annapolis has also served in our American History as the United States Capital. Just a beautiful city. A must visit if you are ever passing through.
Ok, back to the challenge. We ordered the Colossal Challenge, well 3 of us. Trent, Bryson and myself split a 1 ½ pound turkey sandwich. Megan and Heston split a 1 ½ pound ham sandwich. Then all 5 of the Mizes split the 6 pound Reese Peanut Butter milk shake. One word---- AWESOME !!!!!!!!!!!! -------- Oh man it was so good!!! We all finished off our sandwiches and of course we finished off the milk shake. Each boy kept saying they could take on the whole challenge by themselves, but with just 1/3 of the sandwich and 1/5 of the milk shake we left the restaurant stuffed.
So if you are ever down around the Annapolis area be sure to stop at Chick and Ruth’s Delly. Yes I know I spelt that wrong but that is how the restaurant sign spelt it, DELLY. I guess people up here in the north does not know how to spell, I fit in so well.
I love our crazy little adventures. This is something our boys will remember and will talk about for a long time. ‘We drank a 6 pound milkshake’ ‘and we have the pictures to prove it’ We are crazy and we love it!!
