Philadelphia Pennsylvania
Philadelphia was a very interesting little city. Philly, short for Philadelphia, served as our Nations Capital City. It houses Independence Hall where our founding fathers meet to sign the Declaration of Independence and write our Constitution. We were able to go into this building and see the rooms where this all took place.
Philly is also the home of the Liberty Bell, Ben Franklin’s home place and Betsy Ross’ home. We were able to visit Ben Franklin’s printing press and the site of his Philadelphia home, but Betsy’s home closed before we could visit there.
Of course while in Philly we had to have a Philly Cheese Steak Sandwiches. It was sooooooo good!!
***** Do you know who the oldest person was that signed the Declaration of Independance??*****
Hint: He's pictured on this page. No!! It was not George Washington.
