We started our journey from Colorado to California on November 28, 2010. What a journey it turned out to be. I took so many pictures that I will have to break up the blogs into several entries. Our plan was to leave Colorado and take HWY 70 straight across the state all the way to California. Our twenty foot box trailer pulled by my small Dodge Durango worried us as we planned to go over the Rockie Mountains in Colorado. But it turned out that, that was the least of our worries. Keep reading to see our grand adventure that we will never forget and hope never have to endure again. ;-{)
One of our worries while driving was going over the snowy Rockey Mountains. It turned out that there was lots of snow but the roads were completely clear. We were relived to be able to go over the Colorado mountains with out any problems. It was a nice drive and we almost made it to the Utah/Colorado state line by the end of day one. Great drive but our adventure was just starting.
Funny sign that we found. We so wanted to stop at this town named, No Name, but decided we needed to keep driving.
Day two leads us to Utah! While in Utah we stopped at Arches National Park. It was just an amazing sight!
Arches National Park has over 1,000 arches. We only saw a few. We spent only a couple of hours at this park viewing some of the more well known arches.
This is landscape Arch. Several years ago this arch was being recorded while a couple feet of the arch fell to the ground. The smallest part of this arch is only about 6 feet high.
The boys became Junior Rangers of Arches National Park.
