We have settled back home and now I"m on a mission to find adventure in everyday life. This blog is written to share small but yet fun adventures with our family and friends. Our visit to Amish Country.
While in Pennsylvania we visited Lancaster County. We knew that the Amish lived there and wanted to share with the boys a different type of culture. The boys really liked seeing the horse pulled buggies. The Amish people were really very nice and waved as they drove by.
The landscape was just gorgeous. We saw several covered bridges, which was really neat. Most houses had barns and silos, which made the view quite different from here in Waldorf. It was a different view even from back home in Georgia.
We just drove through late on a Sunday. We hope to go back sometime when we can stay longer and maybe even eat in an authentic Amish restaurant.
