Going to the top !!

On Friday afternoons, at a local ski resort they off free gondola rides up to the top of the mountain.  What fun we had.  The boys loved the high up gondola.  It's something they have never done before and so therefore it was a very exciting experience for them.
At the top of the mountain we saw some very majestic views.  The sun was starting to set.  It was beyond words.  My pictures don't even show the majestic beauty.

Going UP!! UP !!! UP!!!
Here you can see another ski slope .  All those paths are for down hill skiing, when of course the snow comes!!!

On the top! BRRRr it's cold !!
On the way down the Mountain, Bryson spotted some deer grazing  in the forest.

Sunset out here are great!!

Free Days in Denver!

Denver has some great Museums and if you do a little research you can visit for FREE!  We found  Denver's free days for the Zoo, Children's Museum, Science Museum, and the Art Museum.  If you visit Denver check the websites of these places to find out if a free day will be going on during your stay.
I invite you to take a look at our fun free days. Find the answer to the following questions,
Where can you find the cow statues?
Where can you find the Mountain Goat?
What is the brown thing Trent is holding?
Where can you find a good cup of coffee?
Where can you find Colorado's largest gold nugget?
What family would Heston blend in with?

Have fun looking for the answers to these questions, and hope you enjoy the pictures.

Children's Museum of Denver Colorado

Once a month here in Denver the local children's Museum has a free night.  We are always up for a freebie.  Why pay when you can go for free.
The museum was a complete hands on experience.  The boys made things, like robot and tractors out of recycled materials.
They also were able to play in bubbles.  Here in these pictures Heston is making a big round bubble.  Bryson is standing in a bubble that encompasses his whole body.

Denver Art Museum

These cow statues can be found outside of Denver's Art Museum. We were surprised to see cows at an art museum.  This mama cow even has an ear tag in her ear.  I wonder if the number has any importance?

The Art Museum has King Tut on display.  It cost to see him so we chose not to pay to see a dead mummy, but Heston found a cool King Tut hat to try on.

The Art Museum had an awesome cup of coffee.  Even the presentation was a work of art.

Here the boys get swept up in all the cool art that was on display.

This was the boys favorite art piece.  It's a man made out of metal sticks.

Denver's Natural History Museum

Bryson almost gets eaten by this walking T-Rex.

Denver's newest scientist.

This is a stuffed Mountain Goat.  We saw one of these animals in nature.  It's cool to see them climb on the mountain rocks.

Heston has ears!!

Here Trent is holding a BRAIN!!! Yuck!!

Colorado's Largest gold nugget can be found here at the Museum of Science.  You would think they would keep something like that in a BANK!!!

Free Day at Denver's Zoo.

Heston could so fit in with the Monkey family!! Ha ha
They look just like brothers!

Denver is growing on us.  It's so nice to be just 2-3 miles away from all these free events.
Here are some cool shots I took one evening while down town.

Halloween in Denver

Halloween In Denver

Our carved Pumpkins for this Halloween.
Johnny and I were invited to a work party.  Johnny went as Cookie Monster and I went as his cookie.

Cookie Monster was a big hit at the local air museum. All the little kids wanted to see Cookie Monster!

Optimus Prime with BumbleBee.

Johnny's friend from the VA invited our family to Trick-or-Treat in their neighborhood.  The boys had a great night.  They got so tired of toting their filled to the top heavy candy bags. We ended up with over 4 gallons of candy.

The local Air Museum here in Denver called 'Wings Over the Rookies' hosted a Star Wars Halloween.  The boys met R2D2, Darth Vader and Chewbocka.
